Let’s Feed is a community-based social movement founded in 2010 by volunteers, after identifying a need to reduce food wastage and supply surplus food to people experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.
Since then, it has brought many communities together to share food and provide nutrition and sustenance. Most of the work involves transporting the excess food to where it is needed most. We also encourage individuals to donate to our various programs. The vision of Let’s Feed is to create awareness about the need to start caring and feeding the most disadvantaged people in our community. This can be done by creating opportunities for donation and collection of excess food otherwise gets wasted in Australia. Lets Feed is volunteer-run. Everyone involved believes positive social impact is its own reward. There are no administrative or operating costs, ensuring all proceeds go to those who need them.
“There is an abundance of goodwill and empathy within Australia’s many communities,
much of which we derive from our faiths and experiences here or overseas. Every child deserves a good education, and our challenge is ensuring all that goodwill is harnessed into results”
